MLB announced its latest Players of the Week on Monday, with Corey Kluber and Spencer Turnbull named American League Co-Players of the Week and Austin Riley named National League Player of the Week.

Kluber pitched a no-hitter for the Yankees and Turnbull pitched one for the Tigers to earn their shared honors, while Riley slugged six home runs for the Braves.

On Tuesday, Turnbull no-hit the Mariners at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, the eighth no-hitter in Detroit franchise history and the first since Justin Verlander's on May 7, 2011. The 28-year-old is only the fifth pitcher to throw a no-hitter within two seasons of leading the Majors in losses (which he did in 2019), per the Elias Sports Bureau.

The next day, Kluber no-hit the Rangers at Globe Life Field. It was the Yankees' first no-hitter since July 18, 1999, when David Cone pitched a perfect game, as well as the first career no-hitter for the two-time Cy Young Award winner.

Riley, meanwhile, tied for the MLB lead for the week with his six homers and nine runs scored and had the second-most RBIs, 11, behind Fernando Tatis Jr. The 24-year-old third baseman batted .462 with a Major League-best 1.308 slugging percentage and 1.772 OPS.

This is the sixth career Player of the Week Award for Kluber, and his second this season after winning for the first week of May. The Yankees have had back-to-back AL Players of the Week after Aaron Judge won last week.

It's the first career Player of the Week Award for both Turnbull and Riley. The Tigers' last Player of the Week was Jeimer Candelario last September, and the Braves' was Ronald Acuña Jr. this April.
