PITTSBURGH -- Throughout Major League Baseball on Friday, all players and coaches wore No. 42 on their uniforms to commemorate the 69th anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking baseball's color barrier on this date in 1947.
"What I like is that I think they've done a great job of keeping the day feeling like it's new, like it's the first time," Brewers manager Craig Counsell said. "Baseball has done a wonderful job of every year, when the day comes around, of just highlighting the importance of it and highlighting the greatness of the man and what it represents.

"It's still a day you look forward to, even though we've done it now however many years, it's still a day the players all look forward to and recognize on the schedule. From that sense, I think all of baseball has done a really nice job."
