D-backs, Giants reschedule Aug. 30 game to split DH on Aug. 29

7:47 PM UTC

The San Francisco Giants and Arizona Diamondbacks will play a split doubleheader at Oracle Park on Saturday, Aug. 29, with Sunday, Aug. 30, now serving as an off-day for both clubs. The schedule change comes as a result of the Giants' game against the Atlanta Braves on June 18 being postponed due to rain. That game has been rescheduled for Monday, Aug. 31, in Atlanta.

Both games of the split doubleheader will be nine-inning regulation games. Details of the split doubleheader on Saturday, Aug. 29, are as follows:

Game 1: The game originally scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 30, has been moved to Saturday, Aug. 29, and will begin at 1:05 p.m. PT.

Game 2: The originally scheduled Saturday, Aug. 29 game will remain at 7:05 p.m. PT.

Mobile tickets in the Ballpark app and on MYSFTIX for Game 1 have been updated to reflect the new game date and time. The Jung Hoo Lee bobblehead that was associated with the original game on Sunday, August 30 will now be given out before Game 1 of the split doubleheader, as supplies last. At the conclusion of Game 1, all fans will be asked to leave the ballpark. Any fans with tickets for Game 2 will re-enter the ballpark once gates open for the second game.
