The Arizona Diamondbacks and Levy Restaurants donated more than six tons (12,290 pounds) of stadium food from Chase Field to Church on the Street throughout the 2016 season. The donated food equals 10,241 meals that help people in need in the Phoenix community through Church on the Street. Over the past four seasons, the D-backs and Levy Restaurants have donated more than 23 tons of unused concessions food to Church on the Street, which equates to roughly 38,000 individual meals.

Some of the top practices are highlighted by the following:
In addition, Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, the D-backs Spring Training facility, was the first venue of its kind in the United States to be LEED Gold Certified by the U.S. Green Building Council. The facility's sustainable project elements include siting the stadium to provide maximum shade, using native vegetation, minimizing stormwater runoff, maximizing the amount of fresh air brought in through its HVAC systems and using grass-covered parking lots, rather than asphalt, that can double as playing fields for the community when not in use.
The D-backs' community efforts are also among the best and have surpassed a total of $49 million in charitable giving since 1998. This season, the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation raised $1.7 million at Evening on the Diamond and more than $1.5 million from its 50-50 Raffle held at each D-backs home game. The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation has also invested more than $2 million into the D-backs Give Back Jersey program and in 2016, outfitted 40,000 Arizona youth baseball and softball players.
