Peralta lands on DL for third time in 2016

Right wrist injury sidelines outfielder; Brito recalled

PHOENIX -- For the third time this season, D-backs outfielder is heading to the 15-day disabled list, as his troublesome right wrist is once again causing problems.
Outfielder , who just finished a DL stint of his own, was recalled from Triple-A Reno to take Peralta's place on the 25-man roster on Sunday.
Peralta initially injured his wrist last September and it flared up in May and he was on the DL from May 9 until June 6 as a result.
Nine days after being activated, Peralta returned to the DL with a lower back sprain that kept him out until July 29.
Peralta said he was told last year when he initially suffered the injury that he had irritated a ligament in the wrist. He was scheduled to see Dr. Don Sheridan later Sunday and will likely have an MRI taken Monday.
This will be Brito's third stint in the big leagues. D-backs manager Chip Hale said that the left-handed hitter will probably be in the starting lineup Wednesday and Thursday when the Mets are scheduled to start right-handed pitchers and .
