Dodgers Spring Training FAQ: Everything you need to know

February 4th, 2026

LOS ANGELES -- Another year, another title defense.

The Dodgers have a firsthand understanding of how difficult it is to repeat as World Series champions. Now that they have become Major League Baseball's first back-to-back champions in a quarter century, they have the opportunity to enter truly rarefied air by making it three in a row in 2026.

The Yankees (most recently 1998-2000) and A's (1972-74) are the only franchises with World Series three-peats. Could the Dodgers become the third?

It all begins in Arizona. Here's everything you need to know for Spring Training:

When is the first workout for pitchers and catchers?
The Dodgers' first workout for pitchers and catchers takes place on Feb. 13.

What is the date of the first full-squad workout?
The Dodgers' first full-squad workout is set for Feb. 17. Several position players will likely report and work out ahead of this date.

Where is the team’s facility?
The Dodgers train at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Ariz. The White Sox also train at the facility.

Can fans attend workouts?
Workouts at Camelback Ranch are open to the general public and free to attend. The practice fields will be open daily at 9 a.m. MST, beginning with the Dodgers' first pitchers and catchers workout on Feb. 13.

Who are some new faces fans should know?
The Dodgers came away from the offseason with two of the biggest names on the free-agent market: outfielder Kyle Tucker and closer Edwin Díaz. With new numbers on their backs -- No. 23 for Tucker and No. 3 for Díaz -- the newest Dodgers will add even more starpower to an already loaded roster.

Who will be away from the team for the World Baseball Classic?
The Dodgers currently have five players who are confirmed to be participating in the World Baseball Classic: Díaz (Puerto Rico), Will Smith (USA), Hyeseong Kim (South Korea) and Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani (Japan).

Players participating in the tournament typically leave their Major League club early in spring, then return to camp once their team is eliminated. World Baseball Classic pool play runs from March 5-11, followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals and championship game from March 13-17.

Who are some of the top prospects invited to Major League camp?
The Dodgers have yet to announce their non-roster invitees for 2026. Outfielders Josue De Paula and Zyhir Hope -- the team's top two prospects who are ranked No. 15 and No. 27, respectively, on MLB Pipeline's overall Top 100 list -- are among the biggest names who should be in big league camp, as both were invited last year.

When is the team’s first Cactus League game?
The Dodgers' Cactus League slate begins on Feb. 21, when they'll face the Angels on the road at Tempe Diablo Stadium at 12:10 p.m. PT/1:10 p.m. MST.

What are a few other notable spring games?
The Dodgers host Team Mexico in an exhibition at Camelback Ranch on March 4, ahead of World Baseball Classic pool play. They'll also see two of the teams they eliminated last postseason: the Reds (March 5 on the road, March 12 at home) and the Brewers (March 9 on the road, March 16 at home).

What is Spring Breakout and when is the game?
For the third straight year, the top talent in the Minor Leagues will take center stage at Spring Breakout. There will be 16 matchups across the Cactus and Grapefruit Leagues from March 19-22, including the Dodgers' top prospects taking on their White Sox counterparts on March 21.

When is the club’s last game in Arizona?
The Dodgers depart on March 21, following a doubleheader at home that begins with a matchup against the A's and concludes with the Spring Breakout game against the White Sox top prospects.

Will there be any additional exhibitions before the regular season?
Upon returning to Southern California, the Dodgers have their regular Freeway Series preseason exhibitions against the Angels. They have one game at Angel Stadium on March 22, followed by a pair at Dodger Stadium from March 23-24.

What are the details for Opening Day?
The Dodgers open the regular season at home against the D-backs on March 26 at 5:30 p.m. PT. The game will be nationally broadcast on NBC and Peacock.
