Dodgers Activate Tyler Glasnow

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers have activated right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow from the injured list and optioned right-handed pitcher Paul Gervase.

Glasnow, 33, has not pitched in a Major League game since May 6 after leaving his start against the Astros in the first inning with lower back spasms. He made four rehab appearances, going 0-1 with a 1.32 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 13.2 innings. He is 3-0 with a 2.72 ERA in seven games this season. He is in his 11th Major League season with stops in Pittsburgh (2016-18), Tampa Bay (2018-23) and Los Angeles (2024-), and he is 46-36 with a 3.69 ERA in 174 career games. He was drafted by the Pirates in the fifth round of the 2011 First Year Player Draft out of Hart High School in Santa Clarita, Calif.

Gervase, 26, was recalled on Friday but did not appear in a game. He has made four appearances for Los Angeles this season, firing 7.2 innings with eight strikeouts and a 2.35 ERA. He has appeared in 10 Major League games in his career, posting a 3.38 ERA with 16 strikeouts in 16.0 innings. The 6-foot, 10-inch hurler was drafted by the New York Mets in the 12th round of the 2022 First Year Player Draft out of Louisiana State University.
