LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers added right-handed pitcher Jonathan Hernández to the roster and optioned right-handed pitcher Landon Knack.
Hernández, 30, was designated for assignment on Monday. He last tossed two scoreless innings on Sunday against the Diamondbacks. He has appeared in 15 games with the Dodgers, allowing 16 runs in 22.1 innings with 18 strikeouts. He has been in the Major Leagues parts of six seasons with the Texas Rangers (2019-24), Seattle Mariners (2024) and Dodgers (2026), going 13-8 with a 4.57 ERA and 168 strikeouts in 175.1 innings. He was originally signed on January 30, 2013 by the Texas Rangers as a minor league free agent.
Knack, 29, recorded the save last night, firing 2.2 innings of scoreless baseball against the Royals. He appeared in three games for the Dodgers this year, allowing five runs in 7.2 innings. He has been with the Dodgers three seasons, going 6-7 with a 4.24 ERA in 28 games (19 starts). He was drafted by the Dodgers in the second round of the 2020 First Year Player Draft out of East Tennessee State University.
