LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers right-hander Kenta Maeda got back on track Friday night at Dodger Stadium.
But he had plenty of help in a 5-3 victory over the Phillies, who had their six-game winning streak snapped. Maeda allowed two runs in seven innings, and Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. He hit a two-out double to left field in the sixth inning against Phillies right-hander Luis Garcia, scoring two runs to hand the Dodgers a three-run lead.
"Yeah, he hasn't homered yet but he's got that doubles swing," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said of Turner. "He's a productive player. He does a lot of things to win a baseball game."
The Phillies took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning when Phillies shortstop Freddy Galvis hit a two-out double into the right-field corner, but Maeda retired 10 of the final 12 batters he faced. Yasmani Grandal's sacrifice fly in the fifth handed the Dodgers a 3-2 lead, which they extended from there.
"A two-run lead is really nothing when you think about it," Phillies manager Pete Mackanin said. "It's nice to get a lead but you don't want to hang on for nine innings with a two-run lead. You need to add on and we couldn't. Maeda pitched well. He mixed it up. We just couldn't zero in on him and get a big inning going."

Maeda entered Friday's game with an 8.05 ERA after his first four starts.
"It was really good to see him throw the way he did tonight," Roberts said.
Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen struck out the side on 15 pitches in the ninth to pick up his sixth save.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Miscues and misses: The Dodgers scored their first two runs with help from the Phillies. Alvin Toles scored on a wild pitch from Phillies right-hander Jerad Eickhoff in the third inning to cut the Phillies lead to 2-1. Cody Bellinger bunted up the third-base line to beat the defensive shift with two outs in the fourth. He scored from first on Kiké Hernandez's double to left-center field to tie the game. Phillies left fielder Aaron Altherr almost made a fantastic running catch, but the ball hit the top of his glove and bounced away.

"It was either coming out early or I'd grip it a little tighter and I'd spike it," said Eickhoff, who struggled with his curveball throughout the night. "There was no in between."
Eickhoff allowed nine hits, a season-high five runs, three walks and struck out three in 5 2/3 innings to fall to 0-2 with a 3.56 ERA. He allowed four of those runs with two outs.

Avilan holds it: The Phillies had a runner on third and the tying run at the plate with two outs in the eighth when Dodgers left-hander Luis Avilan replaced Josh Fields. Avilan struck out Michael Saunders on a 3-2 changeup in a nine-pitch at-bat to preserve the two-run lead.

Galvis extended one streak and snapped another. He extended his hitting streak to career-high-tying 10 games. He is hitting .350 (14-for-40) in that stretch. But he also snapped a 25-game errorless streak, when he committed an error in the fourth inning.

Phillies: Right-hander Zach Eflin (0-0, 2.25 ERA) starts Saturday night against the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. Eflin made his final start of the 2016 season at Dodger Stadium. He landed on the DL the following day because of knee problems. The DL trip eventually led to him having surgeries on both knees. First pitch is scheduled for 9:10 p.m. ET.
Dodgers: Right-hander Brandon McCarthy (3-0, 2.25 ERA) will try to build upon his best start of the season Saturday at 6:10 p.m. PT when the Dodgers host the Phillies. McCarthy went seven innings, holding the D-backs to two runs on five hits and a walk, while striking out six. His 99 pitchers were the most he's thrown since April 22, 2014.
