Figueroa made the Bucs' 2016 Opening Day roster. In 23 big league games this year, he went 4-for-26 (.154), primarily being used as a pinch-hitter (14 games), but also appearing at second base (five games, two starts), third base (two games) and shortstop (two games).

The Dodgers now have a full 40-man roster and will need to clear a spot for Brock Stewart, who is expected to be selected from Triple-A Oklahoma City to be the starting pitcher Wednesday night.

Ken Gurnick has covered the Dodgers since 1989, and for MLB.com since 2001.
