The Dodgers are back-to-back World Series champions, the team is currently tied for the best record in the Majors at 16-7 and the organization represents MLB Pipeline's second-best farm system in the league. So, an embarrassment of riches may be an understatement when it comes to Hollywood's team. All of this even before you consider the play of the club's No. 4 prospect Mike Sirota.
After a first pro campaign that was marred by injuries last year, Sirota is back with a clean bill of health this season and posted one of the best games of his young career in High-A Great Lake's 9-5 victory over Beloit at ABC Supply Stadium on Wednesday.

MLB's No. 52 prospect reached base safely in his first five plate appearances -- recording a home run, two doubles and a pair of walks -- while knocking in three runs and scoring three times. He grounded out to short in his final at-bat in the ninth inning. The only other time in his pro career (75 games) that Sirota has amassed eight or more total bases was on May 11, 2025, when he finished with nine total bases after a three-hit effort -- that included a pair of dingers -- for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga.

Batting leadoff for the Loons on Wednesday, Sirota turned around the third pitch of the game and sent it over the wall in right for his first home run of the season. After working an 11-pitch walk in the third, Sirota drove in another run with a double off the wall in left in the fifth.
The 2024 third-round Draft selection won another lengthy battle in the sixth with a six-pitch walk before punching another RBI two-bagger down the right-field line in the eighth. Sirota scampered home two batters later on a wild pitch.
The 22-year-old outfielder out of Northeastern raised his OBP 36 points to .449 and his slugging 119 points to .519 with Wednesday's performance. His seven doubles on the season are tied for most in the Midwest League, while his nine extra-base hits are tied for third most among the circuit. He's reached base safely in 14 of the 16 games he's played this season -- including his last 11 in a row.
Sirota was acquired by the Dodgers from the Reds in January of 2025 in the Gavin Lux deal. The 6-foot-2, 188-pound righty-swinger made a sensational pro debut that year, batting .333/.452/.616 with 13 homers in 59 games between Single-A and High-A before he injured his right knee on a slide, which ended his season in July but didn't require surgery.
He was invited to his first big league camp this spring, and appeared in five Cactus League games for Los Angeles. Sirota finished with a homer, a double and a stolen base in seven at-bats.
