Eibner sent to Triple-A as McCarthy returns

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Dodgers optioned outfielder to Triple-A Oklahoma City to make room on the roster for pitcher , who was activated off the 10-day disabled list to start Monday night's game against the Giants.
McCarthy missed a start after dislocating his left (non-pitching) shoulder in a weight room accident. In five games with the Dodgers this season, Eibner has gone 3-for-10 with one home run and two RBIs.
Another move will be necessary Tuesday, when Rich Hill comes off the disabled list to start against the Giants. Hill has been sidelined with a chronic finger blister.
"He's been a caged lion for a long time," said manager Dave Roberts. "We're going to expect it to go well."
Roberts wouldn't say when (hamstring) comes off the disabled list, but Saturday is a likely target. Maeda threw a simulated game at AT&T Park on Monday, which lines him up to start Saturday.
"He was sharp, aggressive, everything was good," said Roberts. "Now it's a matter of figuring out when we will pencil him back in."
Roberts did confirm that will start Thursday's homestand opener and be followed on Friday by Alex Wood, who was named National League Player of the Week on Monday.
(elbow, back) will play seven innings Tuesday for Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga and (toe, hamstring) will be the designated hitter and take three at-bats, Roberts said. Gonzalez will probably return before Forsythe.
