LOS ANGELES -- Thomas Stripling, who has lasted only 3 1/3 innings in each of his last three starts, will get the ball again Wednesday night, in the Dodgers' series finale against the D-backs in Arizona.
Manager Dave Roberts said Clayton Kershaw and Walker Buehler will start against the D-backs on Monday and Tuesday. Thursday is an off-day and Roberts has not announced probable starters for the series in San Francisco that ends the regular season. If nobody is skipped, Rich Hill, Hyun-Jin Ryu and Kershaw would line up.
Dodgers unveil 50th Dreamfield
Kershaw, Yasiel Puig, Roberts as well as front office and political figures unveiled the 50th Dodgers Dreamfield at Algin Sutton Recreation Center in South Los Angeles on Saturday.
The completion of this Dreamfield marked the final step in LADF's commitment to create 50 fields in 15 years. Since 2003, over $10 million has been invested in these fields, which have impacted the lives of over 300,000 youth in and around Los Angeles. The foundation announced an extension of the original 50 fields with an additional $10 million to build 75 fields by the 75th anniversary of the Dodgers' move to Los Angeles.
The $300,000 project dedicated on Saturday was partially funded by donations from the City of Los Angeles, Puig's Wildhorse Foundation, the Tyler Development Corporation, Clayton & Ellen Kershaw, the LA84 Foundation, the Annenberg Foundation, the Leon Lowenstein Foundation, and the Bruce P. Rubenstein Family.
