Dodgers receive postseason shares for NL title

Amount drawn from players' pool-record $84,500,432.15

LOS ANGELES -- The National League champion Dodgers issued 65 full postseason shares from their players' pool of $20,280,103.72, MLB announced on Monday.
In addition to the full shares -- $259,722.14 each -- the Dodgers issued 12.768 partial shares and 14 cash awards.
When the Dodgers won their previous World Series in 1988, they issued full shares of $108,664.88 from their pool of $11,524,839. This year's World Series champion Houston Astros received a pool of $30,412,155.57, issued 60 full shares of a record $438,901.57 each, plus 9.23 partial shares and four cash awards.
The players' pool is formed from 50 percent of the gate receipts from the Wild Card Games; 60 percent of the gate receipts from the first three games of the Division Series; 60 percent of the gate receipts from the first four games of the League Championship Series; and 60 percent of the gate receipts from the first four games of the World Series.
The players' pool was divided among the 10 postseason clubs: the two World Series participants, the two League Championship Series runners-up, the four Division Series runners-up and the two runners-up in the Wild Card Games. The 2017 players' pool was a record total of $84,500,432.15, eclipsing last year's $76,627,827.09.
