KANSAS CITY -- Nationals manager Dusty Baker announced that his son, Darren Baker, will do community service at the Nationals Youth Baseball Academy this summer. It's not known what the younger Baker will do at the academy.
According to Dusty Baker, it was his wife Melissa's idea that their son work at the academy. Darren will also play in a baseball summer league in D.C.

"I believe in work. I believe in giving back to the community because [Darren] is blessed," Dusty Baker said.
Darren is best known for being the 3-year-old bat boy who was almost run over at home plate during Game 5 of the 2002 World Series. But former Giants first baseman J.T. Snow grabbed Baker and brought the little kid to safety.
