has been playing professional baseball for less than a week. Time flies when you’re hitting grand slams.

Crews, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 Draft, walloped a grand slam on Tuesday night in the Single-A Fredericksburg Nationals’ 11-2 win over the Lynchburg Hillcats. This, just one game after belting his first pro home run an estimated 416 feet on Sunday.

Crews finished his fourth pro game 4-for-5 with two runs scored, four RBIs and a walk.

Between one game with the FCL Nationals and three with the FredNats, Crews is slashing .444/.474/.833 with a 1.307 OPS.

The 21-year-old has not slowed down since winning the NCAA championship with LSU and being named the Golden Spikes Award recipient for top amateur player in the country in late June.

Let’s take a look at other notables around the Nationals farm system in this Minor League roundup:

Triple-A Rochester

The Nationals optioned starting second baseman Luis García to the Red Wings last Wednesday. In five games in Triple-A, he is batting .304/.292/.435 with a .727 OPS and three doubles. García, 23, has hit .259 in 100 games for the Nats this season.

“I still strongly believe that Luis is a big part of our future, I really do,” manager Dave Martinez told reporters last week. “There’s some consistency stuff that we want him to work on, and we want him to do it without having to worry about putting up numbers and things of that nature.”

Double-A Harrisburg

Left-hander Mitchell Parker fanned 13 batters in six innings on Tuesday as the Senators topped the RubberDucks, 4-3. Parker, ranked as the Nationals’ No. 24 prospect by MLB Pipeline, delivered 68 of his 88 pitches for strikes. He allowed three runs on six hits and one walk.

Parker, 23, improved to 8-4 with a 4.83 ERA. He leads all Nats Minor League pitchers in strikeouts on the season.

High-A Wilmington

Right-hander Andry Lara, ranked as the Nats’ No. 14 prospect, bounced back from a 1 2/3-inning start on July 21 to throw four scoreless innings on Saturday in the Blue Rocks’ 10-inning win over the Renegades. Lara, 20, allowed only one hit and one walk across 45 pitches (32 strikes) and struck out four.
