When the Milwaukee Brewers selected Lucas Erceg in the second round of the 2016 Draft, they were intrigued with his offensive upside. Though his career is still in its infancy, the third baseman has not disappointed.
The Brewers' No. 7 prospect has had limited opportunities so far, but has made the most of them, including hitting a pair of homers in Milwaukee's 14-4 win over Cleveland.

Erceg, who had a walk-off hit earlier in Spring Training and is hitting .571, hit a grand slam in the sixth and then, to prove his power wasn't a fluke, went deep again in the eighth and finished the day 2-for-2 with five RBIs.
"I didn't get a good look at it. I just put my head down and started running," Erceg said of his grand slam. "As soon as I got in the dugout, some of my teammates were like, 'Dude, do you know where that ball landed?' No idea. They told me it was on the roof."
The 21-year-old hit .327 with nine homers in 68 games between Rookie-level Helena and Class A Wisconsin and has continued to hit this spring, his first as a professional.
More notable performances from top prospects on Monday:
• Pirates' No. 2 prospect Austin Meadows (No. 9 overall) gave the Pirates an early 2-0 lead over the Yankees with a second-inning double. Meadows, who will likely debut at some point this season, drove in 47 runs in 87 games last season. Monday, he finished 1-for-2 with two RBIs.

• Greg Allen (Indians' No. 9) is heating up offensively with five hits in his past 10 at-bats. Allen also has multiple hits in back-to-back contests after going 2-for-3 in Cleveland's split-squad loss to the Giants.
• Mets' No. 17 prospect Luis Guillorme made headlines for catching a bat last week, but on Monday he showed that he can swing the bat too. The shortstop had 33 multi-hit games in 2016 and put together his first of 2017, going 2-for-4 with an RBI.
• Orioles' No. 22Jason Garcia threw two hitless innings out of the bullpen against the Tigers. Garcia walked one and hit another, while also striking out two.
• Elias Diaz, the Pirates' No. 11 prospect, doubled and drove in a run on his way to a 2-for-3 afternoon.

• Sam Travis (Red Sox No. 4) flexed some power in the third inning in Boston's 5-5 tie with the Astros. Travis hit his second home run of the spring, a two-out, three-run blast, and finished the day 1-for-3 with a trio of RBIs.
• Tigers' No. 11 Sandy Baez struck out three and walked one in two innings. The 23-year-old right-hander didn't yield a hit in the outing and threw 12 of his 17 pitches for strikes.
• Zack Burdi (White Sox No. 7) has been impressing so far in his first Spring Training and continued to do so against the Padres. The 26th overall pick from the 2016 Draft made his fourth appearance of the spring, struck out one and didn't give up a hit in 1 1/3 innings. Burdi has given up two hits in 4 1/3 total innings and has yet to allow a run.
