Week 3 of MLB Bases Covered Live sees the New York Yankees make the trip south to Miami to take on the Marlins. Get yourself ready for a Sunday night showdown in the Sunshine State with these five key facts.
1. The Yankees may have lost superstar Aaron Judge to the injured list for now, but with the Trade Deadline looming, they’ve been busy in the market. Whilst they’ve already added Ryan McMahon, Amed Rosario and Austin Slater at time of writing, don’t be surprised to see further new faces in pinstripes by the time Sunday rolls around.
2. The Marlins currently sit third in the NL East, behind only the powerhouse Mets and Phillies, and are still just about clinging on in the Wild Card race. Keep an eye out for first-time All-Star Kyle Stowers, an outfielder enjoying a real breakout season for the Fish.
3. With Judge currently sidelined due to an elbow injury, the Yankees may look to a former Marlin to do damage this weekend. Jazz Chisholm Jr. -- who turned out for Great Britain in the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers -- is in the midst of a career year having just been named an All-Star for the second time.
4. Talking of the World Baseball Classic, this weekend's venue -- the Marlins’ loanDepot park -- played host to the tournament’s finale when Shohei Ohtani struck out Mike Trout to win the 2023 edition for Japan. And the ballpark is all set to reprise the roll next spring when the WBC returns once again.

5. A combination of playing in different leagues and the Marlins’ relative youth as a franchise means that these two teams have a rather limited head-to-head record. They did meet in the 2003 World Series, with the Marlins beating the Yankees in six games to lift their second -- and to-date their last -- Commissioner’s Trophy.
