WASHINGTON -- Gabriel Moreno had two hits, and his seventh-inning sacrifice fly drove in the go-ahead run in the Diamondbacks’ 3-2 win against the Nationals on Friday night.
After Arizona loaded the bases with two singles and a walk with one out, Moreno flied to deep left off Tom Cosgrove, scoring Ketel Marte to make it 3-2.
The D-backs have won four straight and six of seven.
Moreno reached base safely in his 40th straight start, passing Jay Bell (39 in 1998) for sole possession of the second-longest streak in club history behind Corbin Carroll (44 in 2024).
Eduardo Rodriguez (9-3) allowed two runs on seven hits and three walks over six innings. He allowed baserunners in five of six innings but was able to pitch out of it except in the fourth, when Dylan Crews smacked a two-run homer.
His previous time out, Rodriguez gave up five runs on seven hits and two walks in 2 2/3 innings against the Cardinals.
