The Guardians have a swarm of young hitters on the cusp of the Majors, with five position player prospects currently ranked in the Top 100 by MLB Pipeline.
One of those prospects, Cooper Ingle, is off to a scorching start in 2026.
MLB's No. 89 prospect -- and the Guardians' No. 5 -- launched a pair of home runs for Triple-A Columbus on Sunday, pacing a 12-8 win over Iowa at Huntington Park. Ingle went 3-for-4 with a walk, three RBIs and four runs scored while hitting out of the No. 2 hole for the Clippers.

On the season, the 24-year-old catcher is now hitting .357/.617/.786 with four home runs in 13 games.
Ingle launched his first home run in the third inning, belting a sweeper high from right-hander Connor Noland over the right-field wall for a solo shot that traveled a projected distance of 361 feet. Then, an inning later, he added a two-run shot off righty Tyler Beede. This time, the left-handed hitter showcased his opposite-field pop, turning around a 91.8 mph fastball and sending it over the left-field fence.
This was Ingle's second professional multihomer game, after he went deep twice in a four-extra-base-hit effort for Double-A Akron on July 3, 2025.
The Guardians originally selected Ingle in the fourth round of the 2023 Draft out of Clemson. Though he spent most of last season with Akron, he did finish the year at Triple-A, where he posted a .712 OPS in 28 games. It's been a far different story this season, as Ingle continues to dominate Triple-A pitching.
