CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Guardians announced today the following addition to the club’s 40-man roster:

Signed RHP Colin Holderman to a Major League contract.

Holderman, 30, spent the 2025 campaign with the Pittsburgh Pirates, his fourth year with the organization, posting an 0-2 record with a 7.01 ERA (20ER/25.2IP) over 24 games across three stints with the Major League club. The 6-6, 230-pound right-hander saw part of his season curtailed by injuries, missing time from April 6-26 (right knee sprain) and May 20-July 7 (right thumb inflammation). The Bourbonnais, IL native served as a key member of the Pittsburgh bullpen over the 2023-24 seasons, combining to post a 3.52 ERA (42ER/107.1IP) over 113 games, the second-most appearances on the club during that span.

Holderman was originally drafted by the New York Mets in ninth round of the 2016 MLB Draft, making his debut for the club on May 15, 2022 and going on to record a 5-0 record with a 3.81 ERA (12ER/28.1IP) over 24 games before he was dealt to the Pirates on July 22, 2022 for Daniel Vogelbach. He was designated for assignment by Pittsburgh on November 18 and was granted free agency later that week.

The 40-man roster is at 40 players. Holderman is under club control through the 2028 season.
