Back in May 2016, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred became the first Commissioner to visit the site of the iconic baseball film Field of Dreams. There, he announced the beginning of the Baseball Hall of Fame Tour -- a state-of-the-art traveling baseball experience that brings Cooperstown directly to fans across the country.
Fittingly, the Tour's first stop was Modern Woodmen Park -- home of the Class-A Quad Cities River Bandits in Davenport, Iowa -- which is located just 90 miles from the Field of Dreams site. In the year since then, the Tour has traveled to sites such as Kansas City, Mo., Scottsdale, Ariz. and, most recently, Albuquerque, N.M.
Now, from June 3-11, the Triple-A Iowa Cubs host the Baseball Hall of Fame Tour just outside the gates of Principal Park in Des Moines. There, fans can check out a one-of-a-kind Cooperstown collection; compete in MLBAM's virtual reality video game, "Home Run Derby," within the unparalleled 3D environment of one of eight iconic ballparks; and relive the 2016 postseason, from the Wild Card Game all the way through the final moment of the Cubs' historic World Series win, in another unique VR experience.

The Iowa Cubs -- whose roster boasts the likes of former Big Leaguer Thomas La Stella and top prospect Jeimer Candelario -- are in town nearly all week, so schedule a baseball double feature with a day-trip to the Tour followed by a night at the ballgame.
