Homestand Highlights: August 5-11

Legends Night, Huskers Night and Arts Day at The K Part of Event-Filled Homestand.

The World Champion Kansas City Royals will return home to host the Toronto Blue Jays (August 5-7) and Chicago White Sox (August 9-11). Events include Legends Night (August 5), Huskers Night (August 6), Arts Day at The K (August 7) and GordoNation (August 11).
In addition, the Royals and Major League Baseball are pleased to host the Baseball Hall of Fame Tour exhibit in Lot A of the Truman Sports Complex starting this Friday, August 5, running through August 21. Through this traveling exhibit, fans will see the illustrious history of baseball with cutting-edge technology and digital media. Hours of operation for each day are listed below. Friday, August 5 - Toronto Blue Jays vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.
·        Hall of Fame Exhibit - The Hall of Fame exhibit will be open in Lot A from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
·        Legends Night - The Royals are excited to host the third annual Legends Night, courtesy of Royals Authentics. Royals Hall of Famer Amos Otis will meet fans and sign autographs at the Royals Authentics store from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. In conjunction with the event, the first 10,000 fans through the gates will receive a scratch-off giveaway card for a chance at a Royals Authentics prize. ·        Summer Fireworks - Fans can enjoy a spectacular fireworks show, presented by Hy-Vee and Pepsi, after the game.
 
Saturday, August 6 - Toronto Blue Jays vs. Royals, 6:15 p.m.
·        Huskers Night - Supporters of the University of Nebraska can join fellow Huskers fans for a night of big-league action presented by FOX Sports Kansas City and Rally House. The first 7,500 Nebraska fans who bring their Huskers Night theme ticket to Gate A will receive a limited edition gray-and-red KC Royals Huskers cap (photo attached). ·        Arts Day at The K - Come enjoy pregame festivities in the Outfield Experience as we showcase various facets of the local art scene.  The event will feature live art making from the KC Chalk and Walk Festival, interactive booths and activities for all ages. The National Anthem will be performed by an ArtsKC partner organization.  Each discounted Arts Day at The K ticket package provides a $5 donation to the ArtsKC Fund. ·        Family FunDay Sunday presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors - Each Sunday home game features pregame interactive kids entertainment plus face painters and caricature or balloon artists in the Outfield Experience.
