HOMESTAND HIGHLIGHTS: September 12-19

Royals Host Bark at the Park, Girls Night Out and STAR WARS Day; Games Start at 6:15 P.M. for Oakland Series

The World Champion Kansas City Royals will return home for an eight-game homestand to host the Oakland Athletics (September 12-15) and Chicago White Sox (September 16-19). Several great events will take place during the homestand, including the second Bark at the Park (September 14), Girls Night Out (September 16) and STAR WARS Day (September 18). Fans can also look forward to T-shirt Tuesday (September 13), ladies fabric sling bag giveaway (September 16) and batting practice pullover giveaway (September 17).
Please note the early (6:15 p.m.) start times for the Oakland series (September 12-15). Additionally, the rainout from Thursday, May 26 is being played on Monday, September 19. This is an afternoon game scheduled for a 1:15 p.m. first pitch. Please see below for more information.
 
Monday, September 12 - Oakland Athletics vs. Royals, 6:15 p.m.

·        T-shirt Tuesday - The first 10,000 fans will receive a white t-shirt with text that reads "Bo Jackson #16," in honor of his 30th anniversary of his MLB debut, courtesy of Metropolitan Community College (photo attached).
 
Wednesday, September 14 - Oakland Athletics vs. Royals, 6:15 p.m.
·        Bark at the Park presented by Boehringer-Ingelheim - The Royals host the second of two Bark at the Park events of the season, presented by Boehringer-Ingelheim. "We made the decision to once again support Bark at the Park, first and foremost because it celebrates the bond between people and their dogs," said Colin Meyers, executive director of BIVI's Pet division. "It's a great chance to meet pet owners and talk to them about their dogs and keeping them healthy." Fans who purchased tickets for the sold-out event get a human and canine game ticket and a Royals dog collar. A $5 donation from the ticket purchase goes to Royals Charities to benefit The KC Pet Project. Friday, September 16 - Chicago White Sox vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.
·        Girls Night Out - Calling all ladies!  Join us at The K for Girls Night Out presented by the Kansas City Area Chevy Dealers with participating sponsors The University of Kansas Hospital, Hy-Vee and Majestic. The event features live entertainment by Yes You Are, cake pops, mini-spa services, caricature artists, face painters and much more!  VIP ticket holders (sold-out) may enter the event at 4:30 p.m., and all fans with a valid game ticket for this date may enter beginning at 5:30 p.m. through Outfield gates A or E. ·        STAR WARS Day - Join fellow STAR WARS fans in the annual STAR WARS Day at Kauffman Stadium. STAR WARS entertainment will be featured throughout the game, and all fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters! Fans who purchase STAR WARS Day theme ticket will get a limited-edition X-Wing Pilot Eric Hosmer bobblehead!
