The Padres are 10-7 since April 20 and three of the reasons are the bats of Eric Hosmer, Franmil Reyes and Hunter Renfroe.
Over the last 17 games, the trio has combined for 16 homers and 38 RBIs.
First baseman Hosmer is 26-for-67 over 17 straight starts with six doubles, five home runs, 14 runs scored and 15 RBIs. He is hitting .388 during the run with a .408 on-base percentage and a .701 slugging percentage for a 1.109 OPS. More recently, Hosmer has an active seven game hitting streak, during which he is 12-for-28 (.429) with three doubles, a homer and five RBIs.
Right fielder Reyes is 19-for-60 since April 20 with two doubles, six homers, nine runs scored and 11 RBIs. He is hitting .317 with a .650 slugging percentage for a .967 OPS. He has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games, going 16-for-42 (.381) with two doubles and four homers for RBIs.
Outfielder Renfroe is 12-for-46 since April 20 with two doubles five homers, 12 RBIs and six runs scored with two walks and two stolen bases for a .261/.292/.630/.922 slash line. More recently, Renfroe is 7-for-17 in a five-game hitting streak that includes a double, three decisive home runs, seven RBIs and seven runs scored.

• Left-hander Matt Strahm’s earned run average has fallen in each of last six starts. Since his first outing of the season, Over his last six starts, Strahm has a 1.98 ERA and a 0.85 WHIP – giving up nine runs (eight earned) on 28 hits and 32 walks with 32 strikeouts in 36 1/3 innings. He has a 10.67-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio during the run and went four straight starts without issuing a walk before he issued one pass Wednesday.
• Infielder Greg Garcia has reached base in 10 of his last 11 games, including in three of his four pinch-hitting appearances during the run. Over the stretch, Garcia is 5-for-19 with eight walks, a hit by pitcher, six runs scored a home run and three RBIs. His on-base percentage during the run is .500.
• Center fielder Manuel Margot drew a walk Wednesday afternoon. It was the second walk he drew this season and his first since April 2 – a run of 80 straight plate appearances between free passes.
