You don't normally see home runs smashed in the center of London. Weird, I know. Fortunately, Home Run Derby X: The Cage is here to change all of that. 

As the main showpiece of this weekend's fan festival held during the London Series, HRDX: The Cage is looking to provide fans with a whole new kind of home run derby. Not only are the rules different, with target hits and defense playing crucial parts -- but the gameplay is different, too. That's because this derby blends real baseball action with augmented reality, letting fans and players see dingers bashed past iconic Nelson's Column.

While the experience is open to fans all weekend long, this event is the showstopper as MLB Legends and some of the best women's baseball and softball players representing the Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs and Cardinals are squaring off live in a battle royale.

What: HRDX is an action-packed home run derby that incorporates gaming elements with bonuses like target hits and hot streaks that earn the batter extra points, as well as defense, which earns the opposition points.

For HRDX: The Cage, batters will earn more points the longer their hits fly, while balls that land in the "catch zone" will cost batters points.

If you're in London, this is where you'll want to be. In addition to Home Run Derby X, there will be food trucks serving up unique London Series foodstuffs, special themed brews from Mondo Brewing Co., and giant screens for massive watch parties. Even better: It's free for all fans to attend.
