Giants outfielder Hunter Pence has been named National League Player of the Week after tying for the Major League lead with 10 RBIs last week.
Pence also posted the NL's second-highest slugging percentage (.895) and ranked among the league leaders in batting average (.421) and on-base percentage (.500). He also hit two home runs and totaled 17 bases.

Pence helped lead the Giants to a sweep of the Padres to begin the week, then on Sunday, he homered off Mets right-hander Noah Syndergaard to help San Francisco notch a win.

This is Pence's fourth career Player of the Week honor and first since Sept. 9-15, 2013.
Pence's teammates, Madison Bumgarner and Johnny Cueto, also were considered. Bumgarner went 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA in two starts, while Cueto fired an 11-strikeout shutout.
