Indians promote RHP Perci Garner from Columbus

The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the 2016 Major League roster:
Garner, 27, has split the 2016 season between AA Akron and AAA Columbus, posting a mark of 7-1 with a 2.06 ERA and 7 saves in 41 relief outings (78.2IP, 52H, 16ER, 22BB, 70SO, .186 avg, 2HR). Since joining the Clippers on July 4, he has posted an ERA of 1.63 (27.2IP, 15H, 5R/ER, 23SO, .156 avg), limiting right-handed hitters to a .127 (7-55) average against. The Dover, OH native attended Ball State University and was the second round selection of the Philadelphia Phillies in 2010, pitching five seasons in the Phillies organization before latching on with Cleveland as a Minor League free agent in April 2015. He is making his debut at the Major League level.
 
Armstrong is eligible to return to the Indians upon the conclusion of Lake County's season on September 5.
