The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the 2016 Major League spring training roster:
Optioned OF JAMES RAMSEY to Triple-A Columbus.
Re-assigned OF MICHAEL CHOICE, C JEREMY LUCAS, C ANTHONY RECKER and INF ERIC STAMETS to Minor League camp.
Signed free agent OF MARLON BYRD to a Minor League contract with a non-roster invitation to Major League camp.
The current Major League spring training roster currently consists of 48 players (14 non-roster invitees).
