September 14th, 2016

CLEVELAND -- The defending American League champion Indians will open the 2017 season on April 3 at Texas. For the fourth time in a five-year span, Cleveland will begin its campaign with a road trip.
Following Spring Training in Goodyear, Ariz. -- a preseason that will include the fourth World Baseball Classic -- the Indians will embark on a six-game swing through Texas and Arizona. The Indians' home opener will then arrive on April 11 against the American League Central-rival White Sox. The Tribe's first homestand will feature Chicago (April 11-13) and Detroit (April 14-16).
Indians 2017 schedule
As part of Interleague Play next year, the AL Central will match up with the National League West.
Following the early-April trip to face the D-backs, the Indians' Interleague portion of the schedule will also include trips to take on the Rockies (June 6-7) and Giants (July 17-19). Cleveland will host the Dodgers (June 13-15), Padres (July 4-6) and Rockies (Aug. 8-9). The Indians and Reds will renew their Ohio Cup series with sets at Cincinnati (May 22-23) and at Cleveland (May 24-25).
Weekend home series next season will feature the Mariners (April 38-20), Twins (May 12-14, June 23-25), Royals (May 26-28, Aug. 25-27, Sept. 15-17), White Sox (June 9-11, Sept. 29-Oct. 1), Tigers (July 7-9), Yankees (Aug. 3-6) and Orioles (Sept. 8-10).
Coming out of the All-Star break, Cleveland will spend six days in the Bay Area. The Indians will open the second half with a July 14-16 series on the road against the A's, and then will head over to San Francisco for the three-game Interleague set with the Giants. The Indians' other West coast trip will be in late September, when the Tribe will face the Angels (Sept. 19-21) and Mariners (Sept. 22-24).
Helping Cleveland's cause over the final month is the fact that the club will have more home games (16) then road games (13) in September/October. The Indians' lone 10-game homestand will take place in September, when the Tribe hosts the Orioles, Tigers and Royals from Sept. 8-17.
2017 ticket information

From Aug. 28-Sept. 7, the Tribe will trek through New York, Detroit and Chicago for its final 10-game AL road trip.
