JUPITER, Fla. -- An MRI didn't reveal any structural damage, but Marlins left-hander Jeff Locke is on no-throw status for the next seven days.
Outfielder Ichiro Suzuki, meanwhile, is progressing from back tightness and a bruised right quadriceps. The 43-year-old outfielder is playing catch and doing some light hitting.
Ichiro was shaken up on Tuesday during a collision with Brandon Barnes in an outfield drill.
Manager Don Mattingly said the foremost concern with Ichiro was his back.

"We're trending in the right direction," Mattingly said. "Our bigger concern is making sure the back is solid before we keep moving forward. That's where the end of the swing, the running and the pounding [occurs].
"The [quad], we feel like is a bruise, and that's going to go away. But the back, as you jar it, it can linger a little bit longer."
Locke, a candidate to either start or relieve, is dealing with left biceps tendinitis. The discomfort is more in his shoulder area. He tested the arm while playing catch on Thursday, but it still didn't feel right.
As a precaution, an MRI was taken, and the results were encouraging.
"We're going to wait until he's 100 percent," Mattingly said. "We're probably not going to throw for the next seven days. In his case, it's going to be strengthening, stretching and going through his treatment. We'll wait until he is 100 percent until he throws."

• According to the Miami Herald, Jose Fernandez's girlfriend, Maria Arias, delivered a baby girl, named Penelope, on Friday night. Fernandez died in a boating accident last Sept. 25. The Marlins are wearing No. 16 patches on their uniforms in his honor.
• Dee Gordon, initially scheduled to start at second and lead off on Saturday, was sent home because he is dealing with pink eye. The earliest Gordon is expected back is Monday at the Twins in Fort Myers.
