FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Though starting pitchers , and aren't a full-go just yet, Red Sox manager John Farrell thinks they will all be ready for the start of the season.
The progress of that trio bears watching, given they are the three pitchers battling for the final two spots in the rotation.
"Those three guys in particular, these first five or six days on the field, we've got some specialized routines for them individually," said Farrell. "Everything as we mapped out on a 30-day or on a calendar puts them in the normal number of appearances as a regular Spring Training. We can take the added time in this first week to address some specific needs."

Rodriguez, coming off a right knee injury during winter ball, is ahead of the other two at this point.
"He'll be on the mound [Wednesday]," said Farrell. "We held him out of PFP drills, did more agility work for him."
Wright is coming back from bursitis in his right shoulder that stemmed from an ill-fated pinch-running appearance at Dodger Stadium in August. Pomeranz had an experimental stem cell shot to promote healing in the left elbow that plagued him late last season.
"Steven has been out to 120 feet, which is really the extent of his long toss. Drew feels he's in a good place coming off the injection that he went through in the offseason. The 20th, next Monday, is the day they'll get on the mound," said Farrell.
