NEW YORK – Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. left Sunday’s game against the Twins after five innings because of right big toe discomfort.
X-rays on the toe were negative, and Chisholm will be reassessed Monday, the Yankees announced.
With one out and facing right-hander Joe Ryan, Chisholm flied out to right fielder Luke Keaschall and seemed to limp up the first-base line before heading into the dugout.
Chisholm was replaced at second base by José Caballero, who made the switch from third. Amed Rosario entered the game at third base.
