Jim Leyland, one of the game's more respected and beloved leaders, was elected to the Hall by the Contemporary Baseball Era Non-Players Committee on Sunday.

A three-time Manager of the Year winner and World Series champion, Leyland is meeting with the media to discuss his election.

The Hall’s induction ceremony is set for July 21, 2024, in Cooperstown, N.Y. The results of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America ballot will be announced Jan. 23.
