Murphy acquisition, Heyward injury shakes up Cubs' lineup

PHILADELPHIA -- , who was activated from the disabled list on Saturday, did not start on Sunday either, but Cubs manager Joe Maddon said he'll likely get the shortstop in the lineup on Monday against the Brewers. has been filling in at shortstop and has taken over at second base. One of the Cubs' options is to start Baez at third base and have in the outfield. The Cubs need to fill in right field while is sidelined with a sore right hamstring.
"There's so many potentially moving parts that I'm trying to get guys out there and make sure they get their at-bats," Maddon said. "It's a nice problem trying to set up the lineup every day. You feel you have a solid team on the field and a great bench, and you're still making sure everybody gets opportunities that when you ask them to do well, they can."
Even though Murphy has provided a spark to the Cubs' offense, Maddon said he wants to be careful with the veteran because he is coming off knee surgery earlier this year.
