SAN FRANCISCO -- Joey Gallo exited in the eighth inning of Friday night's 7-6, 10-inning win against the Giants at AT&T Park with a left ankle injury.
He's day to day, according to manager Jeff Banister.
Gallo rolled his left ankle on a broken-bat RBI single and hobbled out of the batter's box to first base. He was replaced by pinch-runner , who remained in the game to play center field.

"I just tried to plant my foot and it didn't stick and kind of rolled up on me," said Gallo, who received an X-ray after leaving the game. "It definitely looked a lot nastier than it feels now. I'm lucky I have pretty flexible ankles, so that definitely helped me out in that situation."
On July 22, Gallo was lifted from a game against the Indians with a left ankle sprain. He only missed one game.
