After battling left Achilles bursitis for most of the season, 1B/DH Jorge Polanco was placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to Wednesday, with a right wrist contusion. Catcher Hayden Senger was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse as a corresponding move.
Polanco's wrist injury popped up following Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to the Dodgers, when Polanco went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.
Polanco, 32, who signed a two-year, $40 million contract this offseason, is slashing .179/.246/.286 in his first 14 games.
Senger, 29, hit .181 in 33 games in 2025 in his first Major League action. He has hit .257 with five homers in 12 games at Syracuse this season.
