HOUSTON – left the Astros’ game against the Reds on Saturday night with tightness in his right hamstring, but Houston manager Joe Espada had no immediate prognosis on the three-time batting champion after his team’s 13-9 loss.

The second baseman, who was not in the lineup for Sunday's series finale, was "feeling better," but still had tightness in his hamstring.

Altuve started at second base and drew a walk in the first inning, advancing from first to third on a single by Isaac Paredes. Altuve was lifted for pinch-hitter Brendan Rodgers in the third inning, with the Astros trailing 12-1 at the time.

“After that first inning, probably after he ran the bases, he came in, and he said, ‘Joe, my hamstring’s kind of getting tight.’ So of course I just took him out of the game just to be cautious,” said Espada. “We’re going to re-evaluate him, and I want to see how he feels.”
