The Mariners are sending highly touted catching prospect Harry Ford and righty pitching prospect Isaac Lyon to Washington in exchange for lefty reliever Jose A. Ferrer, the club announced on Saturday.

Nationals acquire: C Harry Ford (No. 4 prospect), RHP Isaac Lyon (unranked)
Ferrer, 25, posted a 4.48 ERA with 71 strikeouts and just 16 walks in 76 1/3 innings last season, finishing in the 95th percentile in MLB in walk rate (4.9%) and the 99th percentile in ground-ball percentage (64.3%).
Ford, the 12th overall pick in the 2021 Draft, ranks as the Mariners' No. 4 prospect and No. 42 overall, per MLB Pipeline. Lyon, 21, posted a 7.30 ERA in four starts at Class A Modesto in 2025, his first pro season.
