PITTSBURGH -- Second baseman was much pretty much the Pirates' offense in a 3-1 loss to the Marlins on Saturday night at PNC Park.
Harrison collected the only two hits that Miami starter surrendered, and he added an RBI single off reliever . Those were three of Pittsburgh's four hits on the night.
"That's a guy that I faced him in college, faced him in pro ball in the Minor Leagues," Harrison said of Phelps. "He's a guy that throws to both sides of the plate, and he had his stuff working tonight.
"That's the name of the game. Phelps threw well tonight. That's pretty much all you can say. Let's get them tomorrow."
Harrison collected his three hits from the top of the Pirates' order, where he's flourished.
"Being back in the leadoff spot is something that I'm excited about," Harrison said. "I've bounced around a little bit, but that's probably one of my most comfortable spots to be."
Harrison has led off in 13 of the last 14 games, and has gone 20-for-56 (.357).
"I like the opportunity to get things started for the team and provide any spark that I can," Harrison said.
