De Paula's 3rd homer in 4 games propels Double-A Tulsa to win

Just days after hitting the first walk-off home run of his illustrious Minor League career, has turned a scorching-hot month into another homer binge.

De Paula, the Dodgers’ top prospect and MLB Pipeline’s No. 6 prospect overall, crushed a three-run long ball on Thursday, his third homer in four games. He went 2-for-5 overall as Double-A Tulsa defeated Amarillo, 8-5, at ONEOK Field.

De Paula left the yard in the second inning with two outs and runners on the corners. He crushed an up-and-in pitch in a left-on-left matchup for his 24th homer of the year, adding to a five-run inning for the Drillers.

The 21-year-old outfielder also tacked on an RBI single to right field in the fourth inning.

It’s been an incredible season overall for De Paula, but August has been on another level. He’s carrying a 1.169 OPS in 16 games, with seven home runs, 19 RBIs and six multi-hit games. On the year, De Paula is leading the Texas League in batting average (.314), OPS (.973) and RBIs (95).
