The trio joins a star-studded roster that includes Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Fernando Tatis Jr., Julio Rodríguez and a host of other MLB standouts. After failing to advance out of pool play in the previous Classic in 2023, the Dominican Republic team will certainly be motivated to chase its first WBC title since 2013.

Marte and Doval both suited up for the Dominican in 2023, while Perdomo -- one of 2025’s biggest breakout stars -- will be playing in the event for the first time. Marte went 2-for-8 (.250) with a double and one RBI in the 2023 Classic, while Doval pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings with three strikeouts in two relief appearances.

Marte enters his 12th Major League season in 2026 after posting a .283/.376/.517 slash line with 28 home runs in 2025, earning his third career All-Star selection and winning the National League Silver Slugger Award at second base for the second straight season.

Perdomo, first named an All-Star in 2023, took a big step forward with a .290 average, 20 homers, 27 steals and an .851 OPS. The Arizona shortstop won his first Silver Slugger and finished fourth in the NL MVP voting behind Shohei Ohtani, Kyle Schwarber and Juan Soto.

Doval, an All-Star in 2023 with 39 saves for the Giants, was traded to the Yankees at the 2025 Trade Deadline. He had a 3.58 ERA between San Francisco and New York in 2025, striking out 72 batters in 65 1/3 innings.

The Dominican Republic will begin play in Pool D at 7 p.m. ET on March 6, taking on Nicaragua at loanDepot park in Miami.
