Kyle Harrison, sidelined since July 11 with left forearm extensor tendinopathy, was back on the mound Thursday with High-A Wisconsin.
In a breezy low-stress outing, Harrison threw 68 of a maximum allotted 75-80 pitches, including 44 (64.7%) for strikes, in 5 2/3 scoreless innings. The 24-year-old allowed one hit alongside three walks and five strikeouts in the Timber Rattlers' 10-0 win over Lansing.
From the outset, Harrison has not been concerned about the potential of this being a long absence. The Brewers, already working around the recent loss of Brandon Woodruff (right shoulder capsule surgery), have been clear about their intention to handle the left-hander conservatively.
With that in mind, the club could elect to give Harrison at least one more Minor League rehab outing to further build his pitch count up, while still sticking to its original timeline for an early August return -- although no announcements have been made regarding next steps.
In what has been a breakout 2026 season, Harrison, acquired by the Brewers from the Red Sox in February, is 8-2 with a 3.01 ERA and 101 strikeouts in 83 2/3 frames (10.86 K/9).
