Mini Cueto showcases shimmy in LLWS

August 21st, 2021

Johnny Cueto might not have pitched Friday night, but over in Williamsport, Pa., there were shades of the shimmy master himself.

Sawyer Todd of Eastlake Little League out of Washington channeled Cueto on the mound against Wylie Little League from Texas, working a shoulder shimmy and a foot wag to get some extra heat on the mound.

His mother, Michele, told ESPN that Todd got the inspiration from the Giants pitcher. Sawyer worked two innings in the contest, and we might see some more change-of-pace moves on the mound as Eastlake takes on Florida in its second game of the Little League World Series on Saturday.
