Forsythe's rehab near, but Turner pushed back

Second baseman may begin assignment this weekend; Roberts lists likely Mexico series starters; Paredes recalled, Stewart optioned

May 1st, 2018

PHOENIX -- Second baseman could begin a Minor League rehab assignment this weekend, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said, but third baseman 's has been pushed back to next week.
"I would say next week [on a Turner rehab assignment], but I'd also say J.T. needs less time than Logan as far as rehab games," said Roberts.
Forsythe is recovering from right shoulder irritation that put him on the disabled list on April 15 and was caused by making longer throws after filling in for Turner at third base.
Turner has been out since Spring Training from a small non-displaced fracture of his left wrist suffered when struck by a pitch from Oakland's . Turner still hasn't faced live pitching, although Roberts has insisted there has been no setback.
Roberts names potential Mexico series starters
Roberts all but announced his probable starting pitchers for the weekend series in Monterrey, Mexico, against the Padres.
"I know that Rich Hill will start on Sunday," said Roberts, working backward. "'s a name that could be there Friday or Saturday and [] is going to start Friday or Saturday."
will get extra rest and not start until Tuesday in Los Angeles.
Buehler started in Saturday's doubleheader in San Francisco. Buehler will need to be recalled from Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga, where he's been stashed while the Dodgers have maneuvered roster moves to keep him available.
Hill also threw a bullpen session on Tuesday, the first time off a mound since developing an infection on Saturday in the same finger that put him on the disabled list two weeks ago. He said he will probably throw another bullpen session Thursday or Friday.
Hill said he was able to throw without pain, a quick comeback from an infection he said was in a different spot than the fingernail crack that originally put him on the disabled list. Without the infection, Hill was expecting to be activated to start Monday night's game against the D-backs, which the Dodgers lost, 8-5.
Paredes recalled, Stewart optioned
The Dodgers recalled left-handed reliever and optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Stewart was with the club for two days and pitched Monday night, allowing one run in 1 2/3 innings with three strikeouts.
Roberts said Paredes would be used as a lefty specialist.
