LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers and UNIQLO are teaming up for three noteworthy events this week: UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium Academy (Thursday, August 20), plus UNIQLO x Dodgers Baseball Exchange and UNIQLO x Dodgers The Heart of LifeWear (both Friday, August 21).

Beginning on August 20, the UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium Academy will kick off the first of nearly 50 experiences annually offering middle school students an immersive educational experience at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium. Through curriculum-based learning and behind-the-scenes access, students will explore the legacy of the Dodgers, the impact of Jackie Robinson, environmental sustainability and career pathways across the sports industry.

The Academy will also introduce students to UNIQLO's commitment to sustainability and community engagement, demonstrating how global brands can create positive impact through innovation, environmental stewardship, and service. Together, UNIQLO and the Dodgers are creating a program that inspires curiosity, broadens perspectives and connects students to the people, places and ideas shaping Los Angeles and the world.

On August 21, the UNIQLO x Dodgers Baseball Exchange will bring together youth athletes from Japan and Los Angeles for a unique experience centered on baseball, friendship and cultural exchange. Hosted at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium, participants will receive instruction from Dodgers coaches and performance staff while building connections with peers from across the Pacific through a shared love of the game. By combining elite baseball training with opportunities for cross-cultural learning and collaboration, the clinic celebrates baseball's ability to unite communities and foster international understanding through sport.

Also on August 21, UNIQLO and the Los Angeles Dodgers will host a special The Heart of LifeWear event at Dodger Stadium to support students and their families. The experience welcomes high school students from the Sports Industry Academy at John Muir High School for an exclusive game-day program featuring a UNIQLO × Dodgers clothing donation package and Heart of LifeWear activity, before meeting Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts, viewing batting practice up close, and attending that evening’s 7:10 p.m. game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. John Muir High School is located in Pasadena, which was one of the impacted neighborhoods of the Eaton Fire of January 2025. This will be the first iteration of a larger The Heart of LifeWear commitment, where UNIQLO and the Los Angeles Dodgers work to distribute essential clothing to in-need communities.

“This partnership represents the best of what can happen when two organizations come together around a shared purpose,” said Kristin McCowan, Vice President of Community & Government Affairs, Los Angeles Dodgers. “Whether we are helping students discover new opportunities through the Academy, connecting young athletes from Japan and Los Angeles through baseball, or supporting Angelenos when they need it most, each initiative is rooted in the mutual belief that investing in people strengthens communities. We are proud to partner with UNIQLO to create experiences that educate, inspire and serve those who need it most.”

Koji Yanai, Group Senior Executive Officer at Fast Retailing, said: “Guided by our LifeWear philosophy, UNIQLO aims to make life better for every customer, and to make positive contributions to society. Our special and historic partnership with the Dodgers enables us to provide many new and unique opportunities for local fans and communities, and for the next generation to connect, learn and grow through the power of baseball and the power of clothing. We're delighted to bring the first of such initiatives to life this week with the support of the Dodgers and the L.A. community, as we continue working toward positive impact together.”
