BALTIMORE -- Third baseman Manny Machado and new Orioles catcher Welington Castillo need some help to crack the American League starting lineup for this year's MLB All-Star Game presented by MasterCard.
Machado, a three-time All-Star, remains in third in the latest Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot update, which was released on Tuesday. In the first Ballot update, he led AL third basemen, but he has been trailing Minnesota's Miguel Sano (1,010,060) and Cleveland's Jose Ramirez (697,747) the past two weeks. Machado, who has had a slow start offensively, has 677,925 votes.
Machado, the fan-elected starter in 2016, would join Hall of Famers Brooks Robinson and Cal Ripken Jr. as the only Orioles third basemen to earn multiple fan-elected starts.

Castillo -- who was activated off the disabled list on Saturday -- slipped from second to third place among AL catchers. He trails Kansas City's Salvador Perez (1,025,982) and the Astros' Brian McCann (791,517), with 774,614 votes.
Those are the only two O's in the top five in voting, with center fielder Adam Jones currently No. 13 among outfielders.
