The Mariners acquired infielder Buddy Kennedy from the Giants for cash considerations, the team announced Sunday.
The 27-year-old appeared in seven games for San Francisco this season, going 0-for-7 with a walk and three strikeouts. He batted .321 with eight homers and 33 RBIs in 48 games at Triple-A Sacramento.
Kennedy has MLB experience with six different teams since his big league debut in 2022, batting .171 over 74 career games. He was originally drafted by the D-backs in the fifth round of the 2017 MLB Draft out of Millville Senior High School in Milville, NJ, the same high school as three-time AL MVP Mike Trout.
