Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster moves:
Seattle's Major League (40-man) roster remains full at 40 players.
Hannemann (#13) and Vogelbach (#20) will be available for tonight's 7:10 pm (PT) game versus the Astros.
Hannemann, 26, was acquired yesterday in a waiver claim from the Chicago Cubs organization. He will join the team today and, when he appears in his first game, he'll be making his Major League debut. Hannemann combined to hit .240 (98x409) with 57 runs, 32 doubles, 2 triples, 6 home runs, 32 RBI and 29 stolen bases in 113 combined games with AAA Iowa and AA Tennessee. With Iowa, he hit .265 (76x287) with 40 runs, 23 doubles, 1 triple, 5 home runs, 26 RBI and 23 steals in 79 games. Despite appearing in only 79 games in the Pacific Coast League, his 23 steals ranked 7th in the league, just three off the league lead.
In five minor league seasons with Chicago-NL, he hit .247 (432x1749) with 249 runs, 98 doubles, 22 triples, 31 home runs, 164 RBI and 120 stolen bases in 455 games. He spent most of his time in center field (380 G, 293 GS), but has also played in right field (21 G, 15 GS) and left field (44 G, 4 GS). He was selected by Chicago-NL in the 3rd round of the 2013 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Brigham Young University (Provo, UT). At BYU, he was named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American, the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Year and led all WCC freshman with a .380 batting average in league play.
Vogelbach, 24, will be joining Seattle for the third time this season (also: April 23-May 2 & May 21). He went 1-for-3 on May 21st in his second stint with Seattle. Overall in the Majors this season, he has hit .176 (3x17) with 1 RBI. With AAA Tacoma, he hit .290 (133x459) with 65 runs, 25 doubles, 17 home runs, 83 RBI and a .388 on-base percentage in 125 games. Vogelbach was a mid-season All-Star Selection in the Pacific Coast League and won the Rainiers Offensive Player of the Year Award and the Community Service Award.
Vogelbach made his Major League debut with Seattle last season, appearing in 8 games in September. He was acquired from Chicago-NL on July 20, 2016 along with Paul Blackburn (rhp) for Mike Montgomery (lhp) & Jordan Pries (rhp). In seven minor league seasons, he is a career .287 (693x2417) hitter with 371 runs, 143 doubles, 7 triples, 100 home runs, 438 RBI and a .390 on-base percentage in 669 career games. He was selected by Chicago-NL in 2nd round of 2011 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Bishop Verot High School (Fort Myers, FL).
Scribner, 31, was placed on the 10-day disabled list with flexor bundle strain in his right elbow on April 29 (retro to April 26). He was transferred to the 60-day disabled list on May 11, and began a rehab assignment with Peoria on Aug. 26. The assignment was transferred to Tacoma on Aug. 29. He made a combined 3 appearances while on rehabilitation assignment, tossing 3.0 shutout innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out 1.
Prior to being injured, he was 0-2 with an 11.05 ERA (9 ER, 7.1 IP) with 6 strikeouts in 8 relief appearances with Seattle this season. Last season, he was 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA (0 ER, 14.0 IP) with 15 strikeouts in 12 relief appearances with Seattle after returning from the disabled list. He was placed on the 15-day disabled list on April 3 (retro to March 25) with a strained right latissimus dorsi muscle and made eight rehab appearances before being activated. 
In parts of seven Major League seasons, he is 5-4 with a 4.15 ERA (78 ER, 169.0 IP) with 155 strikeouts in 145 relief appearances with San Diego (2011), Oakland (2012-15) and Seattle (2016-2017). He was acquired by Seattle from Oakland in exchange for Trey Cochran-Gill (rhp) on Dec. 8, 2015. He was selected by Arizona in the 28th round of the 2007 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Central Connecticut State University.
