SEATTLE -- The Mariners announced another significant development to their television broadcast plans for 2026 on Monday, and that local affiliate KING 5 will air 10 regular-season home games for free.
The first is a big one, too, featuring a showdown between the Mariners and Astros on April 10 at T-Mobile Park.
Here’s the full slate:
- April 10 vs. Astros
- April 17 vs. Rangers
- May 15 vs. Padres
- May 29 vs. Diamondbacks
- June 19 vs. Red Sox
- July 3 vs. Blue Jays
- July 17 vs. Giants
- July 31 vs. Twins
- Aug. 7 vs. Rays
- Aug. 21 vs. Cubs
Beyond the Seattle-Tacoma region, the games will also air on KGW in Portland, KREM/KSKN in Spokane, KTVB in Boise and other affiliate stations across the Pacific Northwest. Moreover, KING 5 and participating affiliates across the region will deliver the games for free to more than four million households in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and Hawaii.
Paired with the broadcast will be an exclusive program from KING 5 called “On Deck” that will air the Wednesday before each game, intended to bring fans closer to players and behind the scenes.
“This is an exhilarating moment for Mariners fans across the Pacific Northwest,” KING 5 president and general manager Christy Moreno said in a statement. “Bringing games to local fans for free, over-the-air demonstrates our commitment to serving our local communities with impactful sports and programming. It’s exciting to strengthen Mariners’ fans local connection to the team and bring them closer to the heart of the game.”
This won’t impact fans who subscribed to Mariners.TV, as these broadcasts will also be presented there and feature the standard announcing crew including Aaron Goldsmith, Angie Mentink, Ryan Rowland-Smith, Dave Valle, Ryon Healy and Brad Adam.
“We’re incredibly excited about our partnership with KING and remain committed to delivering our games to fans in ways they want to watch them,” Mariners president of business operations Kevin Martinez said in a statement. “With 10 over-the-air games this season, along with a range of cable, satellite and streaming options, we’re proud to offer Mariners fans more ways than ever to watch our games in 2026.”
